Our Level 1 Obedience class is designed to give you and your dog the essential skills needed for real-world success. This class focuses on clear communication, confidence building, and reliable everyday manners — perfect for puppies, new rescues, or any dog that needs to brush up on the basics.
What Your Dog Will Learn
Your dog will be introduced to eight core commands that form the foundation of long-term obedience:
Come – reliable recall
Sit – calm focus
Down – relaxation on cue
Stand – confidence for grooming and vet visits
Here – guided movement toward you
Look – attention and engagement
Finish – proper positioning beside you
Heel – polite walking at your side
Skill Development
Leash Work: We teach loose-leash walking techniques to help eliminate pulling, weaving, and zig-zagging. You'll learn how to guide your dog calmly in public spaces without frustration.
Socialization: Safe, structured exposure to new dogs, people, and environments helps build confidence and reduces reactivity. Dogs learn how to behave calmly and respectfully around others.
